Dopo 30 anni di attività, il batterista e membro originario della band Joe Laviola, lascia definitivamente la band.
Nonostante il momento difficile, dovuto anche alla pandemia, i Gory Blister sono riusciti a continuare il loro viaggio unendosi al batterista Gianluca D’Andria, già nella band 6th Counted Murder.
Raff Sangiorgio (Chitarra) racconta: “La partenza di Joe è stato un duro colpo per tutti nella band, e siamo stati costretti a interrompere le nostre attività musicali, non solo per la pandemia ma anche per questo importante motivo.
Eravamo davanti ad un bivio, scegliere di continuare a fare musica o smettere. Abbiamo deciso di continuare perché la musica è la cosa più importante della nostra vita, quindi invece di sederci, abbiamo deciso di andare avanti comunque. Gianluca, ha mostrato forza e determinazione sin dalla prima audizione, e nei mesi di prove che sono seguiti, ha confermato la sua determinazione e volontà di voler fare bene quello che facciamo. Questo è un nuovo inizio per Gory Blister, ed anche le nuove canzoni saranno influenzate positivamente dal Drumming di Gianluca, il nostro nuovo batterista“
Compatibilmente con le forti limitazioni dovute alla situazione pandemica, la band è riuscita comunque a provare con il nuovo batterista, preparando il live set per i concerti che arriveranno nel prossimo futuro. Gory Blister “New drummer and New album on the roadmap”
After 30 years of activity, the drummer and original band member Joe Laviola, leave the band permanently.
Despite the difficult moment, due also the pandemic, Gory Blister managed to continue their journey by joining the drummer Gianluca D’Andria, already in the band 6th Counted Murder.
Raff Sangiorgio (Guitar) states: “Joe’s departure was a hard blow to everyone in the band, and we were forced to stop our musical activities, not only because of the pandemic but also for this important reason.
We were at a crossroads, choose to continue making music or stop. We decided to continue because music is the most important thing in our life, so instead of sitting down, we decided to move on anyway. Gianluca showed strength and determination from the first audition, and in the months of rehearsals that followed, he confirmed his determination and will to want to do well what we do. This is a new beginning for Gory Blister, and even the new songs will be positively influenced by the Drumming of Gianluca, our new drummer “
Compatibly with the strong limitations due to the pandemic situation, the band still managed to rehearse with the new drummer, preparing the live set for the concerts that will come in the near future. Below 2 songs live in the studio recently recorded (half June 2021) with the new Line Up:
